Dr. Woldemariam Joins SCFP Team

Dr. Woldemariam will be taking appointments two Thursdays each month, in the Stanton County Family Practice Clinic.
Rahel Woldemariam, MD, believes the best approach to patient care includes providing holistic care and establishing a good rapport. In doing so, she builds trusting relationships and earns confidence with her patients. While taking into consideration the patient’s cultural and spiritual needs, Dr. Woldemariam can educate her patients on their treatment options to help them achieve their optimal health. She is passionate about decreasing health risk factors through preventive medicine and promoting healthy lifestyle changes.
Dr. Woldemarian earned her Doctor of Medicine degree and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology through the Higher Institute of Medical Science of Santiago de Cuba. She then completed an observership through Novant Health’s Huntersville Obstetrics & Gynecologist Department in North Carolina. Dr. Woldemarian completed her residency training in family medicine at Mayaguez Medical Center in Puerto Rico.
Her professional experience includes serving as attending and consulting obstetrician and gynecologist and coordinator of the Six State Women Health Program for HIV/AIDS Prevention for Odebrecht Empresa de Construction Civil in Luanda, Angola, and attending and consulting obstetrician and gynecologist for both Climed Medical Health Center in Luanda, and General Surgical-Clinical Hospital in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.
Dr. Woldemariam is certified as an interpreter for Spanish, Portuguese and Amharic languages in the medical setting.
