
Stanton County Hospital has proudly served the residents of Stanton County and the surrounding communities for more than six decades. As a county-owned, non-profit Critical Access Hospital, we are licensed for 18 acute care beds and 25 long-term care beds. Since opening our doors, our mission has remained the same—to provide compassionate, high-quality healthcare close to home.
Our History
1961
Construction began on Stanton County Hospital, reflecting the community's vision to establish a hospital that would provide high-quality care close to home.
November 14, 1962
The Stanton County Hospital Auxiliary was established. Since its founding, the Auxiliary has played an important role in supporting the hospital through volunteer service, fundraising, and community involvement.
February 3, 1963
Stanton County Hospital was officially dedicated, celebrating the completion of a project made possible through the vision and support of the community.
February 6, 1963
The hospital welcomed its very first patient, officially beginning a tradition of caring for generations of families in Stanton County.
February 8, 1963
Just two days later, Stanton County Hospital celebrated the birth of its first baby—a milestone that marked the beginning of countless lives welcomed into the community.
August 11, 1976
The Long Term Care Unit welcomed its first resident, expanding the hospital's ability to provide compassionate, long-term care for area residents and their families.

2012
A major renovation modernized the facility and included the addition of the Stanton County Family Practice Clinic, allowing patients to receive even more healthcare services in one convenient location.
